This is the first remote piece that I have released in response to the new paradigm that has been levied on us by the Covid – 19 virus. I composed the piece years ago so it is not a topical response to the pandemic; it just happened to be the piece that I thought might work remotely. I did guide tracks in the computer which were sent to the participants, along with the score and parts, to let them negotiate the piece as they saw fit. All first takes, all good. In the context of these strange times it was really enlivening to interact with some friends and colleagues at distance. In fact, it was much more fun and fulfilling than I would have imagined.
I hope you enjoy our efforts.
