This new collection is a set of 12 improvisations performed and recorded on November 25, 2023. I had received a new bass commissioned from Martin Penning in late summer and in the process of getting accustomed to the instrument I decided to explore its possibilities in a solo recording.
I was pleased with the result and felt that it was time to release a document of spontaneous compositions done in rapid succession with no pre-determined design; just explore the instrument and imagine the sound.
